The Quarter System Is A Terrible Name
Semi $\implies$ 2. In a school that follows the semester system, there are thus, logically, two main academic terms (Fall and Spring). The summer term is ommited from this nomenclature, as it should be.
Quarter $\implies$ 4. In a school that follows the quarter system, there are thus, logically, three...? main?? academic terms (Fall, Winter, Spring)??? Riddle me this, Batman. Why in the flying frick does one count but the other doesn't? It's inane, absurd, and a complete travesty. With all due respect, it's not like pregnancies have monopolized the term "trimester". What odd person saw three core terms and said "four". I know infants that can do better than that, counting wise.
